The international market for oilseed-based products is divided into three segments: oils, seeds, and oilseed meals.

Of these segments, oils are the largest and most dynamic, followed by seeds and oilseed meals. At Sesajal®, we focus on the first two, leveraging their nutritional value and broad range of applications.

Current food market conditions create opportunities to increase domestic oilseed production through contract farming models. There is also a specific opportunity in the gourmet and nutraceutical food segments, where there is growing demand for oils with specific characteristics, including avocado, chia, peanut, and sesame oils, among others. This creates favorable conditions for expanding cultivation and commercialization, and at Sesajal®, we are committed to making the most of this opportunity by offering high-quality products to the domestic market.

We decided to invest in this sector to help expand the production and consumption of quality products both within Mexico and internationally, including our oils, seeds, and other oilseed-based products.

We recognized an investment opportunity that allowed us to design an oilseed cultivation program, creating employment opportunities in agriculture as well as across the many areas that make up the agribusiness value chain.
